Do you want to hear two interesting and entirely unrelated facts? Trust me, they’re definitely interesting and most certainly unrelated in every way. And here they are:
1. I have now been off of caffeine for 16 days. And it’s really not so bad… anymore. I’ve got to admit, stopping cold turkey is not easy. I was really tired for the first week or so. It really teaches you how much you can become dependent on such things.
So, why did I decide to go decaf? Just to see if I could, really. There was no other reason. It was on a whim. Glad I’m doing it, though. It’s nice to feel awake all the time as opposed to needing an energy boost twice per day.
Will I ever have caffeine again? Probably. In moderation, though. One can only drink so much decaf before realizing that it’s just not the same as the real thing.
And now for something completely different:
2. According to a NOVA special I saw on OPB, 95% of the universe is composed of either dark matter or dark energy. Therefore, only 5% of the universe is not invisible. What’s more, scientists have no idea what dark energy or dark matter actually are. How’s that for a random fact? We claim to understand – at most – only 5% of our universe.
I’ll leave you to chew on that.
God bless, and good night!
