Fridays really are a gift from God. I know many of us just got through with a long break for the holidays, but I always felt that the hardest days at work are the few immediately following time off. It’s like quitting a habit cold turkey – that is, if you could call “goofing off” a habit.
This evening was especially nice because I was invited to dinner with some good friends. We had delicious homemade Yumm bowls with strawberry shortcake for desert. Afterwards, we talked late into the evening (hence the late blog post) and played a round of a fun art auction board game – I think it was called Masterpiece. Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Friday night.
Anyway, now that it’s past midnight, I don’t have a lot of motivation to write a lengthy post. I’m really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning! Look for a much more robust post later tomorrow. I’ll leave you now with another verse from Scripture that stood out to me a couple of weeks ago:
“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established” Proverbs 16:3
God bless, and good night!
