My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.
from Book 2, chapter 1 of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
I finally attended the Bible study I had been invited to over a month ago. We talked a little about the first two chapters of book 2 in Mere Christianity, but mostly we talked with one another about the happenings in our lives. I got to know the people in the group fairly well by the end of the night. Looking forward to next week!
God bless, and good night!
