Today I learned that I could have gone on a 10k run with Lance Armstrong. But I forgot to bring any running gear to work. Rats!
Not that I would have been able to go anyway, though. Today was a very busy day at work. I ended up staying till about 6:30 working on a project. Of course, this would have to happen on the day that decided to cook my first crockpot dinner. Fortunately, my apartment manager was kind enough to turn the cooker down to the “keep warm” setting. It was Texas-style chili, in case you’re wondering. It tasted great, and I have plenty of leftovers. This whole slowcooking thing works pretty well.
Anyway, the rest of the evening was pretty dull. I just did some more work on my laptop while watching Rock-a-Doodle on Netflix. (Did anyone else watch that movie when they were young?) That’s really it. Depressing, huh?
Oh well. Maybe Tuesday will prove to be more exciting. Here’s another verse from Scripture to close out tonight’s post:
“Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’” ~Lamentations 3:19-24
