…because – well, why not?
I was driving home after work today, and I decided that I really wanted to try baking some muffins. So I picked up a muffin tray and a few extra ingredients at the store. Here are the results:
Final verdict? Found guilty as charged of deliciousness! It was a really basic recipe, but I’m proud of the fact that I’ve baked my first batch of blueberry muffins! After this, I think I’ll try making bran muffins (a practical baked good, because – as I learned from my mom – bran muffins make excellent, quick, and healthy breakfasts for those mornings when you just don’t have the time to cook waffles or an omelette.)
In addition to baking, I did some exercise: specifically 25 push-ups, 2-minute planks on the front and both sides, and 25 calf-raises on each leg. I’ll do a few more exercises after I finish this post to close out the night. The plan is to make this a regular routine – at least 4 days out of the week. I run on the weekends, but I need to compliment my running with regular core exercises to keep from getting injured. And besides, I’ve got to do something active after sitting at a desk all day long!
That’s a wrap for today. Again, no ending quote. I just got too busy baking and exercising to read anything worth posting. However, tomorrow I’ll be at a Bible study talking about Mere Christianity, so you can bet I’ll have something to share then!
God bless, and good night!
