Banana Bread

…because I had two overripe bananas in my fridge.

Plus, I found a recipe that included sour cream. It had been in my fridge since the holidays, and I was worried I’d have to toss it.

It tastes great by the way – the banana bread. The only real bummer is that it got slightly overcooked on the bottom, which caused some of it to stick to the pan when I flipped it onto the cooling rack. Oh, well. It’s only bread, anyway.

If you’ve been reading my posts regularly, you might be wondering, “What’s with the sudden interest in baking?” Well, there’s three reasons: 1) I enjoy experimenting with food every now and then, 2) I needed to clean out my fridge, and 3) it’s a convenient way to feel productive when you’re really just putting off something more important.

At any rate, I think I’ve had my fill of baking for a while. Time to move on to something else… maybe finally getting around to making comic strip for a future post. Trust me, I have ideas. I keep a notebook handy just in case a new one pops into my head. My trouble is finding sufficient time to sit and draw for fun. Still, I’m determined to start cartooning again.

No quote today. I’m nearing the end of Mere Christianity, and there’s lots of good stuff I can share. Not now, though. My brain’s tired. I’ll share something tomorrow.
